Must Have Bougie Travel Products…

After countless trips across the world with LBB, these are the top must have travel products that I’ve found to work wonders. My husband and I have whittled away at this packing list every time we whip out the suitcases for the next adventure, but these products have always been on the must pack list…

BABYZEN YOYO: This stroller is a lifesaver. Not only is it small enough to fit in an overhead compartment, but it is basically the equivalent of a bougie transformer. We love this stroller so much that it has almost replaced our Uppababy Vista as our most used ride for LBB. I like to keep it in the trunk of Bjorn Big Fabulous (my personal name for my mommy mobile) at all times since I can pop it open one handed. This stroller also has several add ons that you can get to customize your ride. We’ve purchased this leg extender to make long rides more comfortable, and this Petunia Pickle Bottom Mickey Mouse Stroller Hook to add additional bags to the stroller when you’re on the go.

Make sure you get the YOYO2 if you invest because it is their updated model that has a slightly better suspension than it’s prior model counterpart, and it has a faux leather handle which the first version I believe has foam that doesn’t hold up quite as well. SO worth the investment.

PACK AND PLAY: GUAVA FAMILY LOTUS: This thing is the best… It weirded me out at first that it was directly on the floor but I got over that quick when I realized how handy it is to have this be a backpack and have the zipper front side so that you can get in from either the top or the side. We have done entire trips carry on only even with LBB and it’s only because this thing is so easy to gate check and carry.

SLUMBERPOD: Ok. I know this seems SO crazy…but this slumberpod is an absolute life saver. Not only can you stay in the same room as your little one when you’re traveling (which always saves cash and it also makes things more flexible when you’re out and about) but you can turn on the lights in your hotel room and basically have a normal evening once your little one goes down for the night. It’s. pure. magic. It also doubles as blackout curtains in the summer since you can pop it over a regular size crib. If you’re concerned at all about ventilation like I was, this tent also has several mesh windows locations that can be pulled up for airflow, as well as a pop tent lid on the top for more air ventilation, so in the summer months, there’s no fear that your baby is sweating endlessly underneath this thing.  It was featured on shark tank originally and is seriously one of the best investments we’ve made. I wish we would have done it earlier! Due to my families obsession with this product, I’m going to do an entire section on sleep products and hacks if you’re intrestested!

WAYB PICO TRAVEL CAR SEAT: This is a major investment. But holy hot sauce am I glad we pulled the trigger on this. It has saved our bacon on so many accounts and we have only used it on 2 trips so far. Not only does this thing fold up into a backpack, but it only weighs a mere 8 lbs. Which for the traveling dog and pony shows that is parenthood, that is maj. This also stores in an overhead compartment if you are wherry of the dreaded airline damage threats to car seats. Or, if you have a wiggle monster like ours, it’s extremely easy to buckle the carseat directly to the seat on the plane. I personally felt that it made flying with LBB much more manageable for domestic flights. We have yet to bring it in tow for an international flight, but after this last trip to Paris and renting a carseat for the first time. (gag, gag, gag) Needless to say, I will not be repeating that experience.

HELLO BABY TRAVEL MONITOR: This compact travel monitor works great with the slumberpod. We initially bought it for travel and have just morphed into using this as our daily monitor due to the convenience and compatibility with the pod. It packs up into what I call the sleep bag (all the tech tools of the trade for sleeping babies on the move) and I can throw it into my carry-on without it taking up too much space.

HATCH REST MINI: This is another game changer. It’s compact enough to fit in my sleep bag along with our Hello Baby Travel Monitor, and it’s controllable by bluetooth so you can turn it up a few notches if you’re in the next room watching an epic Netflix movie that just can’t be denied its full glory. This is also helpful for us because it matches the white noise in LBB’s room at home, so it always sounds and feels like she has the comforts of home while on the go.

BABY BREW TRAVEL BOTTLE WARMER: We have graduated from this phase of baby (phew!), but for those of you who are still traveling with a needy milk machine, this is extremely handy. No more bugging the flight attendants for hot water if your little doesn’t accept anything but 98.6 degree boob juice. We used this everywhere we went, including restaurants, flights, cars, you name it. It’s compact and is very easy to throw in a diaper bag/purse, and it’s wireless. Just need to charge it up before you take off. It is compatible with most baby bottles, you just need to ensure you buy the correct attachment if needed for your preferred bottle brand.
