Bougie Baby Kitchen Gear & Food Ideas

They say the heart of every home is the kitchen, and this is no different for our family. We have spent countless hours in our kitchen, cleaning, cooking, laughing, and dancing. We are just now getting to the stage where LBB can start to help with some food prep too! She loves measuring flour when I’m baking and just observing what I’m up to in her learning tower. These products have been tried and tested by yours truly and we have enjoyed them immensely!

STOKKE TRIPP TRAPP: We love this high chair. We’ve now tried a bunch and LBB really fits and loves this one the best. It grows with your baby also so it’s nice that you invest early but they can have this chair up until they are almost 6 or 7 years old. It’s also really nice ergonomically for the littles because it has a foot rest for them so that their feet are not dangling. It just helps them last longer at the dinner table, which we all know we need sometimes! ;) They have several models, this model comes fully loaded, but it’s customizable to fit your needs. So you can just get the chair, the chair and the infant insert, the tray attachment, etc. etc. We are now at the stage where LBB can climb up into the seat herself!

LEARNING KITCHEN TOWER: We live in a townhome, so the name of the game for us is multi purpose. If you’re going to take up space in my house, it better be a) bougie and b) especially if it’s large, have more than one purpose to make the space it takes up worth it. So this learning tower is a 3 in 1 avatar that I appreciate. It converts into a desk when it’s not in use in the kitchen, and has a chalkboard on the front for additional artistic drama. LBB is a big fan!

EZPZ BABY CUPS: These are handy little baby cups that are critical in the transition from sippy cups to open cups. I learned quickly that 2 oz of water looks way worse than its size on the floor. So a cup like this that fits snuggly in a toddlers hand and can’t be filled more than 2 oz. makes my day for mom clean up duty. Plus they are tiny… which is so bougie.

MINIWARE PLATE SET: This plate has the suction power that will not budge for any toddler tantrum at the table. Plus it’s sleek design makes food look ultra scrumptious.

IKEA KIDS PLATES: When you graduate out of the phase where everything doesn’t need to be suctioned to a table, these kids plates are great! Easy to grab, light weight and come in great colors!

MINIWARE UTENSILS: LBB has used plenty of utensil types, but this seems to be the one that she gravitates towards the most. And the sleek design has a lip at the end of most utensils that lays on the edge of most plates/bowls which is nice when walking from the kitchen to the dining table.

MINIWARE SIPPY CUP: These have been great for the occasional smoothie and other liquid that requires a lid. They do have a pretty handy grip top that doesn’t seem to pop off with tiny fingers (knock on wood). LBB digs the straw so I’d count that as a win!

TRIXIE WATERBOTTLE: We bought one of these water bottles while we were traveling in Paris and LBB is obsessed! The best part is that there is no straw on the inside, so it’s just the lid, and the bottle. Which will save you from all those germs that can get caught in plastic straws over time. Plus it’s light weight and LBB can grab and hold it easily with her hands. It’s been her go to waterbottle for a while!

MUSHIE SNACK CUPS: The minimal design gets me… These snack cups are always stuffed with treats in our house! Blueberries, Annie’s bunny crackers, you name it, it’s been stuffed in these cups. LBB is a major fan when she see’s this cup come flying out of the diaper bag.

LUNCH BOX: I picked up this lunchbox while traveling in Southern California. I really enjoyed it because it has a removable divider that you can shift around based on what you’re packing inside. Sometimes I struggle with the rigidness of the traditional kids bento boxes not knowing what to pack in each perfectly portioned section. So this box has been a hit. It’s sleek and fits in all snack bags with ease!

LIFEVAC: Last but certainly not least is the Lifevac. This contraption keeps my mind at ease to have in the dining room for meal times. It essentially creates a vacuum over the nose and mouth to remove/ dislodge any choking hazards like a plunger. It is a one time use tool to the best of my knowledge, but the company guarantees that they will replace it if you have to use it. Having this handy made me feel so much better when we started solids with LBB. You never know if you’ll need it! We also got a set with the travel pack and I keep it in the car for emergencies.

LALO x MAMAN BIB: Bibs have always been a tricky find for me. I’m always on the hunt for a bib that keeps food at bay, and isn’t too hard to wash and bring along in the diaper bag for diners out. This smock bib has been a real winner in my book. I found it via the coffee shop Maman in Manhattan’s website that I follow and frequent while in NYC. It can double as an art smock also if you’re in need. I love the French twill pattern, and it’s so easy to fold up and tuck away in any sized bag. Win, win in my book!
